Hello World
March 13, 2005
I finally bit the bullet and installed a blog. It has been a long time coming, and after many failed attempts it's finally here. The primary reason that I have set this up is because Dayna and I are going to South America for 6 weeks, and I wanted an easy way for keeping people in the know about where we are and what we are doing. By using Moveable Type it allows me an easy, fast (web based) way to update my site from any computer anywhere in the world. For those of you who don't know, Dayna and I are flying to Santiago, Chile on April 24 and then backpacking across South America for 38 days. We fly out of Rio de Janeiro on May 31. Dayna's brother Richard is probably going to stay at our place and look after the cats while we're gone, which will be a lot better than having someone come a couple times a week to feed them. There is a chance we may "have" to extend our trip so that I can work for two weeks when I am down there, wouldn't that be awful!
Today is Skarb (my old roommate)'s 27th birthday. Happy birthday!
Please leave me a comment, let me know if you like the new layout or not. Also if you have any suggestions feel free to let me know.
Well that's all for now, thanks for reading.
First comment! Site looks great, yet another place to come procrastinate from work.
you already know this but your site looks like shite in my browser (firefox 1.0.1/linux) i can read like. I suppose I'll just have to keep 1 post behind the masses.
It looks ok in both Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050313 Firefox/1.0+ AND Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1
Though I don't fee like booting into XP Pro just to use IE.
It does look much better in the mentioned above versions of Firefox then it does in Konqueror 3.3.2 ,also do
Check out validator.w3.org
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1 = no dice for me
however, works fine with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20050104
looks perfect for me in XP/Firefox (same as it does in IE).
Nice clean design, only request I have is a *little* bit of color :) Black and white is so formal. Adding in some pastel colors would rock my world.
looks good on the mac. no problems in safari or ie.
this is the first design change you made to your site. i'm so proud of you.
take care duuude
looks good to me jeff, even with my vast knoledge and skills of computers,i dont think i could have done better
