Hot Hot Heat
June 27, 2006
It's hot! Damn hot! Real hot! Hottest things is my shorts. I could cook things in it. A little crotch pot cooking. The sun's shining and it couldn't come at a better time. This weekend is Canada Day long weekend, and Dayna and I will be celebrating it on Ruxton Island with my parents and my grandma. Definitely looking forward to drinking sangria, eating fresh seafood, and kayaking around the island. We're trying to fly to Silva Bay but it doesn't look promising as all the flights have been booked for weeks.
I played my first night of volleyball last night. It went surprisingly good. My new team, "The Sandy Balls" won all three games we played, and managed to drink more beer than our opponents. I also played this wekeend on Kits beach with Hamilton and his buddies, but didn't fare nearly as well. I'm used to playing tequila volleyball in Mexico with Tom, so I'll have to get used to playing while sober..

Friday night Dayna and I celebrated the end of her intersession class by heading down to wreck beach and burning her notes on the beach (No we weren't naked). It was Dayna's first time to wreck beach and she was quite impressed. It's a gorgeous beach, and where else in the Vancouver area can you openly drink wine on the beach beside a campfire?
Saturday afternoon we ventured up Commercial Drive and watched the Italy vs USA World Cup game at an Italian Cafe. The place was absolutely packed, and it was a very neat atmosphere to be in. Dayna wore her Totti that she bought when she was in Italy and received high5's when Italy scored.
Palooza recap coming soon.

I arrived home on Wednesday afternoon and was picked up at the airport by my wonderful friend Tiffany. After a few drinks to numb the jetlag I was off to pickup Dayna from SFU. I can't even explain how good it is to be home, and to sleep in my own bed again. I was only home for a day before I was off to Whistler for Chad's bachelor party, which probably wasn't the smartest thing to do after flying 17,000kms. It was a great time though, excessive drinking, tossing of the frisbee and watching NHL hockey. I'm back at work now, and should be uploading pictures in the next day or so.
This weekend is my 5th annual yacht cruise, and if you don't already have a seat, too bad. It "sold out" in just over 2 days.
