I'm still alive, the heat hasn't killed me yet. These past weeks have been extremely full and I've been too busy/lazy to post.

I'm keeping busy by playing beach volleyball Monday nights, and ultimate on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so aside from the weekends (which are typically spent near large bodies of water) I haven't really had the chance to slow down a bit..

Since my last post Dayna and I went to Ruxton Island with a good portion of my family. It was the first time we've seen any of them since we got engaged, and was an amazing weekend. I wish Dayna's school schedule allowed us to get out there a bit more often, but there's not a lot we can do about that. We also went to a BC Lions game with cmac/Paula, had a bbq on the beach with the gang, and this past weekend I spent floating around Thetis lake with Speedo/Gayle.

In 7 days or so Dayna's finished school and I finally get to spend some time with her when she doesn't have a worry in the world. I can't wait. Her family has rented a beachfront house in Vernon for a week in August and we'll be spending a week up there in the sun, I can't wait.

I still need to make a trip down to Seattle, hopefully that can be accomplished in August sometime.

Dayna and I walked up to Caffe Roma to meet a few friends and watch the World Cup final. It was a great experience, and we got to see Commercial Drive at its finest. The crowds were out in force and we were at the centre of it all. I've uploaded pictures and videos here.

We also bought a new patio set, and our balcony is looking better everyday. This is what it looked like before, and here is how it looks now. We've got a few more projects planned for the interior once it starts to rain, but for now we're enjoying spending our time outside.
